PIONEERING EXCELLENCE
When Husqvarna released the 701 Long Range in 2020 we had such overwhelming demand to adapt our already tried and tested tower on it. Working together with Dosmoto Design we created a unique fairing system that not only improves aerodynamics but also seamlessly aesthetcially completes the motorcycle.

Adventure kit for 701 Long Range
The Aurora 701 Long Range Kit brings true rally engineering to the Husqvarna 701, combining a lightweight navigation tower, KTM OEM quality screen for improved wind protection and tying in the gap with the tanks as well as better lighting options into a single, cohesive upgrade. Designed for riders who want greater comfort on long stages, clearer visibility at night, and more space to mount their GPS and navigation devices, the kit delivers the function and durability of a full rally platform without altering the bike’s frame.
KEY FEATURES
UNIQUE TOWER DESIGN
Accidents are an inevitable facet of motorcycle riding. Towers equipped with crumple zones can significantly enhance instrument survival during crashes. Given that the tower houses all electrical components, it is imperative that no damage occurs during falls. Our innovative approach, combining materials and geometries, prioritizes impact absorption to ensure that the rider can return to a safe place to make any necessary repairs. Most of the parts can be bent back to shape or you can reorder only the damaged pieces.
What's in the box
No the kit comes only with the components you see in the "What's in the box" section. You will need to either own the Long Range model or purchase the Husky tank kit separately.
Yes. The tower geometry lifts the airflow higher and stabilizes it, especially for riders over 185–190 cm.
The kit is street legal if you select the street legal light option (Hella Main / Hella High). We are also able to provide you with material specs on the aluminium used in the tower and clamp and the ABS used in the panels. Please send us an email for more details.
The kit adds approximately 5.5 kg total to your bike and removes 2kg of OEM parts. You get maximum light output and optimal wind protection.
The tower is engineered with stability and safety in mind. Unlike KTM factory tower clones that place weight and components too far forward, our design balances the center of gravity by mixing materials and varying thicknesses for optimal performance. Easy access to electrics, proper cooling, and energy-absorbing zones ensure that in case of impact, your gear stays protected and you keep riding—whether it’s to a rally bivouac or back home.
As of 2023 we are in our 4th generation CNC frame clamps. All the calculations are done to make sure that the frame clamp will be ready for rally racing use. The speed itself is not a good criteria to judge strength. You can go up to the maximum speed that the 701 will reach regardless the final ratio. The difficult part is the off-road riding and/or jumps/hits where the frame clamp is stressed the most. We have used data from accelerometers on navigationtowers on Africa Eco Race, commuting, motocross tracks, Hellas Rally and others. Both on the bike and the navigation tower actually. These forces are simulated in our CAD, and we do the analysis both for failure criteria, safety factors and fatigue analysis. See our technical blog for more information on how do we do it!All our CNC clamps are guaranteed for the life of the vehicle anyways and so far since 2016 we have zero failures on frame clamps. We intend to keep it this way!
The height of the bike fully kitted out is approximately 150cm tall (not counting altered suspension).
